"The easiest way to make something beautiful and lasting is to risk making something horribly crappy."
"The emphasis on doing everything "right" introduces fear. Give yourself permission to make mistakes. For some of us it would be easier to climb Mount Everest than to not be critical of ourselves." -- Chris Baty, Founder of National Novel Writing Month NaNoWriMo
"The closer we get to giving our dream to the world, the fiercer the struggle becomes to bring it forth. Why? Because we will be inexorably changed, and life can never return to the way it once was." --Sarah Ban Breathnach, Author of Simple Abundance
For many of us, change can be frightening. Most of us have heard the question "What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail?", but have you answered it? Have you acted on it? What are you scared of?
By the way, the sooner you realize that other people won't necessarily bless or appreciate your efforts to follow your calling, the happier you will be.

Thanks Deidre for this reminder. An easy success formular: start crappy, but start and then get better. Worked for me in 2007 and will work for everyone in 2008. The guy who founded Europe Online in 199X told me once: Just start, it will be different than you tought but once you are out there, the opportunities will show up. I didn't even think about the biggest real estate guys in town when I restarted my biz two years ago, but those guys call me up today. Stop reading, START. Even when you fail, you will learn and you will meet people and network.
Your post ignited something in me...
